RESEARCH INTERESTS:

• Two major lines of research directed at solving the problem of ocular infectious diseases primarily caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa:

1) Understanding how contact lens wear compromises defenses against infection.
2) Determine molecular mechanisms involved in epithelial cell invasion and cytotoxicity by P. aeruginosa.
