Some recent and upcoming events

I'm spending the entire 2007-2008 academic year in Berlin at the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin (the Institute for Advanced Study in Berlin). Between now and the end of the year I'm finishing up my new book on consciousness and the brain Out Of Our Heads: Why You Are Not Your Brain and Other Lessons From The Biology of Consciousness. But once the new year comes around again, I'll be back on the road some. Here are some events I've got planned:

On February 7th 2008 I'll be visiting Peter König's Magnetic Perception Group in Osnabrück.

I'll be giving a series of five philosophy lectures in Bochum on the 13th, 14th and 15th of February 2007.

On 13 March 2008 I'll be speaking in the Distinguished Lecture series of the new Berlin Graduate School of Mind and Brain at the Humboldt University.

on 15 March 2008 I'll be presenting a lecture at the Husserl Archive in Paris.

I have several events planned for April in the US. I'll be giving a talk to the Wittgenstein Workshop at the University of Chicago on 3 April 2008; I'll be participating in the Henle Conference at the University of St. Louis on the 4th and 5th; on the 7th and 8th I'll be giving a presentation in a new lecture series called Articulating Hybridity at Alfred University (a leading American art school). On the 9th of April 2008 I'll be presenting in the philosophy colloquium series at CUNY.

I am participating in a meeting on Merleau-Ponty at Ecole Normale Superieur in Paris in June 2008.

Plans are shaping up for the more distant future. I'll be participating in a session at the APA in Philadelphia in December 2008. More updates soon!
