Khmer Rouge Trials Related Vocabulary Description
 Chhit Choeun (Ta Mok) Former Chief of the General Staff of Armed Forces of the Khmer Rouge. Detained, alongside with Kang Kek Ieu (Duch), until his death in July 2006. DC-CAM article "Anlong Veng Residents Believed Ta Mok did not Commit Crimes" (p. 28-29) available here
 DC-Cam Documentation Center of Cambodia. Largest repository of Khmer Rouge documentary materials likely to serve as documents of evidence in ECCC.  Kang Kek Ieu (Duch) Former schoolteacher; from June 1976 until January 1979, Head of S-21 (Tuol Sleng prison), an interrogative facility that sentenced approximately 14 000 people to death. Currently detained, together with Chhit Choeun (Ta Mok).  
 Michelle Lee The Deputy Director of the Office of Administration of the ECCC, appointed by UN Secretary-General. Responsible for international staff and administration of resources provided through UN Trust Fund.

 S-21 (Tuol Sleng prison) Former high school situated in Phnom Penh, which served as an interrogation center and prison from May 1976 until January 1979. Around 14 000 people that entered the facility were later executed. Since 1980, it functions as a Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum. For official brochure of museum, click here.  Sean Visoth The Director of the Office of Administration of ECCC, appointed by Royal Government of Cambodia for a two-year term. Responsible for overall management of Office of Administration other than in matters subject to UN rules and procedures.
